Do you know the difference between RTO and RCO catalytic combustion? Let Tangshan Lantian Aoyu Technology tell you
RTO technology and RCO technology are VOCs (volatile organic compounds) treatment technologies. They are mature technologies with wide applications, good processing effects, stable operation, and low costs.
RCO refers to the regenerative catalytic combustion method, also known as "regenerative catalytic oxidation" in English. The principle of RCO regenerative catalytic combustion method is as follows: firstly, the catalyst adsorbs VOC molecules to increase the concentration of reactants; The second step is the catalytic oxidation stage, which reduces the activation energy of the reaction and increases the reaction rate. With the help of catalysts, organic waste gas undergoes anaerobic combustion at low ignition temperatures, decomposing into CO2 and H2O, and releasing a large amount of heat. Compared with direct combustion, it has the characteristics of low ignition temperature and low energy consumption. In some cases, external heating is not required after reaching the ignition temperature, and the reaction temperature is between 250 and 400 ℃.
RTO refers to regenerative thermal oxidation technology, also known as "regenerative thermal oxidizer" in English. RTO regenerative thermal oxidation adopts a new unsteady heat transfer method. The principle is to heat the organic waste gas above 760 ℃, causing the VOC in the waste gas to oxidize and decompose into CO2 and H2O. The high-temperature gas generated by oxidation flows through a specially designed ceramic heat storage body, heating the ceramic body and "storing heat". This heat accumulator is used to preheat the subsequent organic waste gas, thereby saving fuel consumption for waste gas heating. RTO technology is suitable for the treatment of medium to low concentration (100-350mg/m3) waste gas, with a decomposition efficiency of 95% -99%.
RTO does not contain catalysts, RCO contains catalysts;
RTO operating temperature above 760 ℃, RCO operating temperature between 250 and 400 ℃;
RTO may produce NOx secondary pollutants, but RCO will not;
The operating temperature of RCO is low, and the operating cost is lower than RTO.
Detailed introduction of RCO catalytic combustion purification equipment
Catalytic combustion refers to the complete oxidation of hydrocarbons in organic waste gas under low temperature conditions under the action of a catalyst, rapidly oxidizing them into water and carbon dioxide, thereby achieving the purpose of treatment. Therefore, it has the advantages of low energy consumption, simple operation, safety, and high purification efficiency. Widely used in organic waste gas purification, especially in industries such as chemical industry, printing, paint, insulation materials, enameled wire, paint production, and other industries with low recycling value.
Applicable working conditions:
1. Low concentration, medium air volume;
2. The exhaust gas contains multiple organic components or the organic components often change.
Characteristics of RCO catalytic combustion purification equipment:
1. VOC removal rate, ultra-low operating cost, catalytic purification efficiency of over 97%.
2. When the VOC concentration reaches 450ppm, no additional fuel consumption is required. If the VOC concentration is high, secondary preheating and recovery can be carried out, greatly reducing production costs.
3. The thermal efficiency can reach up to 95%.
4. The production equipment will not generate secondary pollution.
5. The processing air volume range is large, ranging from 5000 to 200000 M ³/ h。
6. Fully automatic control, easy to operate and maintain.
