Introduction to seven operational measures for catalytic combustion equipment

In order to prevent the occurrence of catalytic combustion safety accidents and reduce accident losses, the environmental protection system should mainly consider safety issues when implementing the design of catalytic combustion equipment. Lan Tian Aoyu will introduce seven measures for the operation of catalytic combustion equipment to you:
1: Fully understand the customer's process, clarify the characteristics of organic exhaust emissions and possible unexpected factors.
2: Strictly control the concentration of organic matter in catalytic combustion equipment to ensure it is at a safe level. This is the basic measure to prevent explosions. When the inlet concentration exceeds the lower explosive limit, catalytic combustion itself is the ignition source. Even if an explosion-proof fan is used earlier, pipes with anti-static plugs will not be helpful. As the gas temperature increases, the lower explosive limit of organic compounds greatly decreases. Due to the concentration of imported organic waste gas being much lower than the lower explosive limit (usually less than 25%), chemical companies suddenly discharge.
3: Install necessary equipment, exhaust gas inlet, and necessary exhaust gas branch inlet for concentration monitoring; For high concentration exhaust gas, a dilution air valve, exhaust gas inlet, and buffer tank should be added at the catalytic combustion inlet. The volume of the buffer tank should be appropriately designed; Add interlocking control devices such as concentration monitors, dilution air valves, and catalytic combustion fans to correctly solve sudden problems in a short period of time, and add flame retardants to the input terminals of catalytic combustion equipment to prevent reverse fires; Add fire-resistant components to the buffer tank and pipes at the corners in the catalytic combustion chamber. Several fire protection systems have been installed near the catalytic combustion equipment.
4: Optimize the collection system. To ensure exhaust technology, it is necessary to design a suction hood and fan, and plan an exhaust manifold as the main outlet of the branch pipe and the collection and treatment system of the treatment ladder. The equipment has the advantage of system safety for flammable and explosive smoke, rather than the advantage of collection and pre-treatment systems. Implemented through high-strength design, improper selection of equipment and materials.
5: Strengthen initial treatment measures. Due to the significant changes in the concentration of fine chemical waste gas, it is necessary to mix, buffer, and pre-treat organic waste gas of different concentrations. It is recommended to use PP packing tower for pre-treatment of organic waste gas. Due to the low strength of PP packed towers, it is easy to avoid explosions in the event of accidents, thus ensuring the safety of the system.
6: Gradually develop and scientifically debug. The catalytic combustion equipment should undergo no-load testing, and then gradually connect to low concentration through blank treatment, and use exhaust gas and other organic gases for stable treatment. After operating the sewage tank cover, collect the waste gas, and then discharge it for workshop measurement. Measure the emission rate and concentration of the high concentration exhaust gas to be connected, and place the peak concentration in the middle. The concentration of organic matter at a single exhaust point should be within 1000 ppm and should not exceed 5000 ppm.
7: Install online monitoring system and electronic control room. The cleaning and treatment system of catalytic combustion equipment is a combination of highly mechanically operated equipment. Although the level of automation is high, it needs to be maintained and managed by personnel. If the concentration of organic matter in catalytic combustion equipment typically increases rapidly before an explosion, the system can issue a warning in advance and take necessary measures to prevent accidents while personnel are on duty.
